Training is provided by the Institute of Group Analysis of Athens in collaboration with the Therapy Department of the O.P.C. The duration of training is five years and it is addressed mainly to professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, e.t.c. The entire scheme operates in the form of a Training Community. Qualified students become diploma members of the I.G.A. Athens, members of G.A.S. Greece and G.A.S. London and also they can apply to obtain the European Certificate of Psychotherapy of the E.A.P.

Training includes:

• Personal Therapy in mixed Group-analytic Groups.
• Intensive Theoretical Seminars.
• Clinical Practice in a suitable psychotherapeutic enviroment, throughout the training period.
• Supervision of the student's therapeutic activities.
• Participation in the communal activities of training: Sensitivity Group, Symposia, Intertraining Sessions and Organizing Activities.
• Research and writing experience: three short papers (2nd, 3rd, and 4th year) and
• Diploma Dissertation.
