The Open Psychotherapy Center and the Athens Institute of Group Analysis represent a significant intervention in the fields of psychiatry and psychotherapy. The co-location of the Institute with the Center and the continuous interplay between therapeutic and educational activities has brought about numerous revisions, transformations, and innovations—both practical and theoretical—in the practice of Therapy and Education.

Education

Our educational activities encompass a wide range of Introductory Seminars and four Postgraduate Professional Training programs. These are organized by the Athens Institute of Group Analysis in collaboration with the Therapeutic Department of the Open Psychotherapy Center.

The department’s activities also include Open Lectures, Workshops, Conferences (both participation and organization), Research, Library resources, publications, and more.

Therapy

Our therapeutic services are available to individuals of all ages experiencing any type of psychological issues. The only prerequisite is that clients come of their own volition. The Therapeutic Department makes a significant contribution to the adequate clinical practice of students from our 4 Institutes. It also serves as a fertile ground for research and the application of new ideas and frameworks.
