Training in Psychological Assessment

INSTITUTE OF DIAGNOSTIC PSYCHOLOGY (1984)
The duration of the Training is four years and is addressed to psychologists who want to specialize in psychological tests and psychodiagnostic techniques, of adults and children, as well as in tests for the assessment of professional skills, with the aim of professional orientation and personnel selection.
The Training is organized by the Institute of Diagnostic Psychology, a department of the Institute of Group Analysis (Athens), in collaboration with the Therapeutic Sector of the Open Psychotherapy Centre and operates in the form of a Training Community. After the end of the Training, graduates can become members of the European Association for Psychological Assessment.
The Training includes:
- Personal therapy before and during the Training in a mixed therapeutic group.
- Intensive theoretical seminars.
- Teaching work: Coordination of seminars, theory, as well as supervision groups.
- Clinical practice in psychological assessments of children, adolescents and adults, throughout the duration of the Training in the corresponding departments of the Therapeutic Sector of the O.P.C.
- Individual and Group-Analytic Supervision of Clinical Practice in Psychological Assessments.
- Participation in the Training Community Activities; Sensitivity Group, Symposia, Training Meetings and Organizational Activities.
- Research-Writing Experience; Writing of Short Thesis (3rd Year).
- Preparation of Diploma Thesis.
