The Importance of Family Dynamics in Pediatric Issues. The O.P.C. and the Institute of Family Therapy Institute, under the auspices of the Medical Department of the University of Thessaly and in collaboration with the Panhellenic Pediatric Clinic and the Thessaly Branch of the Hellenic Society for Social Pediatrics and the Promotion of Child Health, organized a conference on the topic of “The Role of the Family in the Treatment of Children with Cancer.” Pediatric Clinic and the Thessaly Branch of the Hellenic Society of Social Pediatrics and Health Promotion, are organizing a workshop on Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the University of Thessaly, Medical School, Small Amphitheater 1.

During the workshop, participants had the opportunity to explore, both theoretically and experientially, the effects of family emotional systems that appear at critical periods in the family life cycle. Particular emphasis will be placed on the Genogram technique and on the issue of learning difficulties affecting families with school-age children, where relevant factors such as cognitive, educational, and family factors will be examined.

The workshop is aimed at professionals and students in the field of health (doctors, pediatricians, psychiatrists, medical school and technical college students, psychologists, social workers, etc.), as well as professionals and students in other fields, such as kindergarten teachers, educators, as well as anyone interested in family issues.
