Societies / Associations

Broader Societies (to which all Institutes or all graduates may belong)

  • NOPG (National Organization of Psychotherapy of Greece). This Organization, in which, it should be noted, our Institutes are key creative factors and founding members, is the “umbrella” of psychotherapeutic approaches in Greece. Members include mainly training institutes and societies of psychotherapists.

Among us, members are:

  1. Institute of Group Analysis
  2. Institute of Psychodrama-Sociotherapy
  3. Institute of Family Therapy
  4. Society of Family and Couple Therapists
  5. Society of Community, Psychodrama and Sociotherapist
  • IAGP (International Association of Group Psychotherapy). The International Association of Group Psychotherapy, the one founded by Foulkes and Moreno! Institutes, organizations and individuals become members. Among us, the Institute of Group Analysis is a member

Societies related to the Institute of Group Analysis of Athens

  • NOPG (National Organization of Psychotherapy of Greece). Representative: Costas Lianos.
  • EGATIN (European Group Analytic Training Institutions). The European Association of Group Analysis Institutes (EGATIN) is a federation, which was founded in 1988 and its members are European Institutes, which provide training in Group Analysis. The inspirer of the idea, and the first president of E.G.A.T.I.N., was I.K. Tsegos. Since 2004, Ms. Vogiatzaki has participated as a representative consistently in all E.G.A.T.I.N. meetings. The representative is now Dimitris Livas.
  • GASi (Group Analytic Society International), the European society for Group Psychoanalysts, where all graduates of I.O.A.A. can register as individual members. Representatives are Francesca Bassialla and Bessy Karagianni.

Societies related to the Institute of Psychodrama-Social Therapy

  • NOPG (National Organization of Psychotherapy of Greece). Representative: Elli Mitroutsikou.
  • Society of Community Therapists, Psychodrama and Sociotherapy, to which all graduates of the Psychodramatist-Sociotherapist training can become members, with representative in the NOPG Stamatis Vlachos.
  • FEPTO (Federation European of Psychodrama Training Organizations), the European Society for Psychodrama, to which only training institutes or societies of psychodramatists belong. Representative: Kostas Kalliyannis.

Societies related to the Institute of Family Therapy

  • NOPG (National Organization of Psychotherapy of Greece). Representative: Antonis Kellakis.
  • ETHOZ (Association of Family and Couple Therapists), to which all graduates of the Family Therapist training can become members and representative in the NOPG: Panagiota Theodorou.
  • ETHOS, the Confederation of Family Therapy Institutes in Greece.
  • EFTA (European Family Therapy Association), the European Society for Family Therapy, which includes educational institutes, family therapist associations, as well as individual members. Graduates of the Institute of Family Therapy can become regular members.
