Psychotherapy in the Therapeutic Community

The Open Psychotherapy Center, the Athens Institute of Group Analysis, the Institute of Psychodrama – Sociotherapy, and the Association of Community Therapists, Psychodrama and Sociotherapy co-organized a conference on the topic:
“Psychotherapy in the Therapeutic Community.”
The purpose of the conference is to inform and raise awareness among both mental health professionals and the general public about therapeutic community models Therapeutic Communities as the most appropriate therapeutic framework for mental disorders or addiction.
The conference included theoretical presentations, discussion groups, and experiential workshops on topics such as therapeutic planning according to the therapeutic needs of each individual patient, the need for specialized social therapy and psychotherapy programs, and the importance of appropriate training for mental health professionals health professionals, the conditions that make community treatment programs sustainable and effective, and current issues such as Therapeutic Communities today, etc.
